The Nuriyah Children’s Home Foundation
The Nuriyah Children’s Home Foundation is a charity in Uganda that is establishing an orphanage in the Wakiso district to provide some hope to local children that have been abandoned, or otherwise orphaned.
The Foundation is currently informally Providing food to 40 children with their basic living needs, such as the provision of some food, and relies on ad-hoc donations gathered via social media for the provision of some clothes and to pay for urgent healthcare.
The Problem
The Foundation is currently, informally, supporting 20 children who are suffering from the following living conditions
HOME
NO HOME
Currently living in an unsuitable, small shelter, with no access to electricity or water
EDUCATION
NO EDUCATION
No funding to access any form of education
FOOD OR WATER
NO FOOD OR WATER
The closest water supply is very far away. Food is supplied by the Foundation, but funding is very limited. Not a long-term, sustainable arrangement
SUPPORT
NO SUSTAINABLE SUPPORT MECHANISM
No funding for ongoing sustenance, such as food, healthcare, clothing or education
